What is the DALTU Door?
It is a complete robotic front door: an 80 mm steel door leaf, a steel frame anchored to the wall and four stainless steel bolts. From the hallway there is no handle, no cylinder and no visible lock. It opens by itself when it recognizes you and locks, bolts thrown, when you leave.
How do I get in?
The access column reads your face in 3D, so a photo can’t fool it, and it recognizes your phone or watch as you approach. From the app you can open the door remotely and see and talk to visitors wherever you are. You can send guest digital keys to the people you choose, and a mechanical handle always opens the door from inside.
What happens in a power outage or if the internet drops?
The door has its own battery and works in a power outage, in any season. It decides instantly, even offline, and stays connected over Wi-Fi with 4G backup, so it can still alert you if the home internet goes down.
How secure is it?
There is no cylinder to snap, no lock to drill and no exposed hinges. The door only opens inward, its four 16 mm bolts shoot into a steel frame held by 10 M12 wall anchors, and three anti-pry pins guard the hinge side. RC3 under EN 1627 is in testing and not yet certified.
Which finishes can I choose?
Four real oak veneers: White, Natural oak, Smoked oak and Black, with four lines of brushed stainless steel and a graphite frame. For a different wood, size or finish, send us your architect’s drawing and we’ll quote a made-to-measure door within 24 hours.
How is it installed?
A certified installer replaces your door in a single visit, with no construction in the hallway or inside your condo. Installation is free with a pre-order, your old door is removed, and set-up, the app and face enrollment are included.
How much does it cost?
The pre-sale price is C$7,720 plus GST and provincial sales tax (about C$8,650 in B.C., C$8,880 in Québec), with installation free with pre-order. Other sizes or a recessed power line are quoted separately.
When will it be delivered?
First deliveries are planned for fall 2027. Doors are reserved in order of arrival, and we’ll contact you with your delivery and installation date before deliveries begin.
Do you take commercial orders?
Yes. Developers, contractors and investors get volume pricing from 10 doors, phased delivery coordinated with the site and a single technical contact. Send the location, number of doors and dates and we reply within 24 hours.
Do I pay anything to pre-order?
No, there is nothing to pay now. We’re launching the DALTU Door on Kickstarter, and pre-order holders get an invite before the public launch. Your pre-sale price and free installation are kept for you on the campaign.
