What is the DALTU Door?
It is a complete robotic front door: a 3⅛ in (80 mm) steel door leaf, a steel frame anchored to the wall and four stainless steel bolts. From outside there is no handle, no keyhole and no visible lock. It opens by itself when it recognizes you and locks, bolts thrown, when you leave.
How do I get in?
The access column in the frame reads your face in 3D, and a photo can’t fool it, and the door also recognizes your phone or watch as you approach. From the app you can open the door remotely and see and talk to visitors wherever you are. You can send guest digital keys from your phone to the people you choose, and from inside a mechanical handle always opens the door.
What happens in a power outage or if the internet drops?
The door has its own battery, so it keeps working in a power outage. It decides instantly, even offline, and stays connected over Wi-Fi with 4G backup, so it can still alert you if the home internet goes down.
How secure is it?
There is no cylinder to snap, no lock to drill and no exposed hinges. The door only opens inward, the four ⅝ in (16 mm) bolts shoot into a steel frame held by 10 M12 wall anchors, and three anti-pry pins guard the hinge side. RC3 under EN 1627 is in testing and the door is not yet certified.
Which finishes can I choose?
Four real oak veneers: White, Natural oak, Smoked oak and Black, each with four lines of brushed stainless steel and a graphite frame. If your project needs a different wood, size or finish, send us your architect’s drawing and you’ll have a custom quote within 24 hours.
How is it installed?
DALTU-certified installers fit it nationwide in a single visit, with no construction in the hallway or inside your home. Installation is free with a pre-order, and your old door is removed. Set-up, the app and face enrollment for your household are included.
How much does it cost?
The pre-sale price is $4,320 plus sales tax for a standard 36 × 82 in opening, with installation free with pre-order. Other sizes or a recessed power line are quoted separately.
When will it be delivered?
First deliveries are planned for fall 2027. Pre-orders are reserved in order of arrival, and we will contact you with your delivery and installation date before deliveries begin.
Do you take commercial orders?
Yes. Builders, contractors, investors and property managers can request volume pricing for 10 doors or more, with phased delivery coordinated with the site and a single technical contact. Send us the location, number of doors and dates and we reply within 24 hours.
Do I pay anything to pre-order?
No, there is nothing to pay now. We are launching the DALTU Door on Kickstarter, and pre-order holders get an invite before the public launch. Your pre-sale price and free installation are kept for you on the campaign.
